Shift Type: Orientation: 4-hour sessions (schedule to be provided). Shift type: RT. Orientation required.

Candidate Pay Rate: $44 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assess and evaluate patients' respiratory status and needs with care and attention
Provide respiratory treatments and therapies safely and effectively
Operate and troubleshoot respiratory equipment, ensuring proper function
Monitor patient response to interventions and adjust care in collaboration with the care team
Document treatments, observations, and progress clearly and promptly
Educate patients and families on respiratory care, equipment use, and safety
Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care

Qualifications

Valid Respiratory Therapist license in the state of Missouri (required)
CRT or RRT credential preferred
Basic Life Support (BLS) required; ACLS and PALS preferred or willing to obtain
Experience in acute care or hospital respiratory therapy preferred
Strong clinical assessment and airway management skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Education

Associate Degree in Respiratory Therapy or completion of an accredited respiratory therapy program

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of mechanical ventilation and aerosolized medication delivery
Skill in airway management and oxygen therapy
Familiarity with respiratory care documentation and electronic medical records
Ability to prioritize care and respond quickly in acute situations
Strong patient education and bedside manner
