Roles & Responsibilities

Assist clinicians with ambulatory patient care tasks in a warm, patient-centered way
Prepare exam rooms, collect vitals, and document patient information accurately
Perform basic clinical procedures such as phlebotomy and point-of-care testing as needed
Coordinate patient flow and communicate clearly with providers and front-desk staff
Educate patients on basic post-visit instructions and next steps
Support a culture of safety, compassion, and continuous improvement

Qualifications

Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred
BLS/CPR certification required or willing to obtain
Previous ambulatory or clinic experience preferred, but enthusiastic learners encouraged
Excellent communication skills and a patient-first attitude
Ability to handle multiple short shifts and adapt to clinic needs

Education

High school diploma or equivalent required
Medical Assistant certificate or diploma preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Basic clinical skills: taking vitals, phlebotomy, EKGs, and specimen collection
Familiarity with electronic health records and accurate documentation
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Good interpersonal skills for interacting with patients of all ages
Ability to follow protocols and work collaboratively with clinical teams
