Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: 12.5-hour Emergency Department shifts; exact start/end times and scheduled days to be confirmed. Orientation included.

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $47 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Triage, assess, and prioritize emergency patients quickly and compassionately
Deliver skilled clinical care in the ED, including medication administration and wound management
Collaborate with physicians, techs, and support staff to create safe patient plans
Document patient assessments and interventions accurately and timely
Respond to critical events with calm, evidence-based actions
Educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge instructions
Participate in orientation and mentor new team members when ready

Qualifications

Current Registered Nurse license in New Hampshire or compact license as applicable
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
Prior Emergency Department experience preferred
Ability to work 12.5-hour ED shifts and participate in orientation
Up-to-date immunizations and ability to pass background and health screenings

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Strong emergency assessment and triage skills
Comfort with fast-paced, high-acuity care environments
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Proficient documentation and electronic health record use
Critical thinking and rapid decision-making under pressure
