Candidate Pay Rate: $48 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care in the Progressive Care Unit
Assess and monitor patients’ clinical status and respond to changes promptly
Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement care plans
Document care, assessments, and interventions clearly and professionally
Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and discharge instructions

Qualifications

Current RN license (eligibility or active license in Kentucky preferred)
Experience or interest in Progressive Care Unit (PCU) nursing
Current BLS required; ACLS preferred or willing to obtain
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Willingness to participate in required orientation

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Familiarity with cardiac monitoring and intermediate acuity patient care
Proficient in medication administration and IV therapy
Skilled in patient assessment, triage, and prioritization
Comfortable collaborating with interdisciplinary care teams
Basic electronic medical record (EMR) documentation skills
Ability to remain calm and effective in fast-paced situations
