Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered critical care for adult ICU patients
• Perform comprehensive assessments and monitor hemodynamic status closely
• Manage ventilators, advanced life support, and complex infusion therapies
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
• Document patient status and interventions accurately in the electronic record
• Respond rapidly to emergencies and contribute to a culture of safety and continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Louisiana or compact RN license as applicable
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) strongly preferred
• Previous ICU or critical care nursing experience preferred
• Comfortable working 12-hour rotations, including nights and weekends
• Strong assessment, prioritization, and critical thinking skills
• Current immunizations and ability to meet facility onboarding requirements

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); BSN preferred
• Completion of relevant critical care orientation or residency programs encouraged

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in ventilator management and airway support
• Skilled in hemodynamic monitoring and titration of vasoactive medications
• Familiarity with central lines, arterial lines, and infusion pumps
• Accurate electronic charting and documentation habits
• Excellent communication and teamwork in high-acuity environments
• Ability to mentor peers and contribute to unit-based quality initiatives
