Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care on Med/Surg and pediatric patients
Assess patient condition, monitor vital signs, and report changes promptly
Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and update care plans
Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge instructions
Document patient care clearly and timely in the medical record
Participate in orientation and unit-specific training to ensure competency

Qualifications

Current, active RN license appropriate for practice (must meet state requirements)
Experience in Med/Surg nursing, with pediatric exposure preferred
Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred
Strong clinical assessment, communication, and teamwork skills
Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of Med/Surg nursing principles and pediatric care considerations
Proficiency with medication administration and IV therapy
Familiarity with electronic health records and accurate charting
Strong critical thinking and prioritization in a fast-paced setting
Excellent patient and family education skills
