Shift Type: 12-hour shifts (exact start/end times and scheduled days to be provided by the facility; total shift length: 12 hours)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $47 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-quality, evidence-based ICU nursing care to critically ill patients
Assess, monitor and document patient condition, responding quickly to changes
Administer medications, IV therapies and complex interventions safely and accurately
Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care
Operate and monitor life-support equipment and advanced monitoring devices
Maintain clear, timely clinical documentation and handoffs
Participate in unit-based quality improvement and patient safety initiatives

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Louisiana or eligibility for Louisiana licensure
Experience or background in ICU critical care (COVID-19 and ventilator care experience a plus)
Current BLS certification; ACLS highly recommended
Comfortable with high-acuity patients and fast-paced environments
Strong communication skills and proven teamwork in interdisciplinary settings

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Critical care assessments and rapid recognition of clinical deterioration
Ventilator basics and management familiarity
Medication administration and titration in ICU settings
Accurate clinical documentation and effective shift handoffs
Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams under pressure
