Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate critical care to adult ICU patients
• Monitor and interpret hemodynamic data, ventilator settings, and labs to inform care
• Administer medications and IV therapies safely and accurately
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop and execute individualized care plans
• Respond quickly to emergent changes in patient condition and escalate appropriately
• Document care thoroughly and communicate clearly during handoffs and rounds
• Support patients and families with education, reassurance, and empathy during stressful times

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Louisiana (or eligibility to obtain one) — licensure assistance available
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) strongly preferred
• Prior ICU or critical care experience preferred
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on experience with ventilator management and arterial/central line monitoring
• Familiarity with cardiac monitoring, vasoactive drips, and titration protocols
• Skilled in patient assessment, rapid intervention, and prioritization
• Comfortable with electronic health record documentation and clinical workflows
• Compassionate bedside manner with an emphasis on family-centered care
