Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess, monitor and interpret telemetry data to keep patients safe and stable
• Provide skilled nursing care including medication administration and treatments
• Respond quickly and effectively to patient changes and emergencies
• Collaborate with physicians, charge nurses and the care team to coordinate excellent patient care
• Document assessments, interventions and patient responses accurately in the medical record
• Educate patients and families about condition, treatment plans and discharge instructions

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California required
• Telemetry experience (comfortable monitoring cardiac rhythms and alarms)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required; ACLS preferred or encouraged
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Clear communication skills and ability to work well with interdisciplinary teams
• Ability to pass facility orientation and any required background checks

Education

• Active RN license in California
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred or welcomed

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation
• Medication administration and IV therapy fundamentals
• Patient assessment, vital signs and documentation best practices
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) charting
• Prioritization, time management and teamwork in a fast-paced setting
• Infection control and patient safety protocols
