Location: Omaha, Nebraska

End Date: 09-07-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality care to oncology and trauma PCU patients
Monitor and titrate drips including insulin and cardizem as needed
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including PT/OT, case managers, and dietitians
Perform hourly rounding to enhance patient experience and safety
Float to same-level MedSurg and PCU units to support team needs
Deliver respectful, culturally sensitive care to a diverse patient population

Qualifications

Active RN license with at least 1 year of PCU or oncology experience
Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
ONS/ONCC certification preferred
Open to first-time travelers who meet requirements
Valid driver's license required at time of submission

Knowledge & Skills

Experience with ventilators and hemodynamic monitoring (CVP, A-line, Swan-Ganz, EV-1000, ICP)
Familiarity with EPIC EMR system within the last 6 months preferred
Comfort with chemotherapy administration and oncology protocols
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced mixed-acuity unit
