Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality care to oncology and trauma patients on a 28-bed PCU/Med-Surg unit
Administer chemotherapy and manage complex medication drips including heparin and cardizem
Monitor and respond to changing patient conditions using ventilator and hemodynamic monitoring skills
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of PT/OT, case managers, social workers, and dietitians
Float to other PCU and Med-Surg units while maintaining the same high standard of care
Champion hourly rounding and patient experience initiatives that make a real difference

Qualifications

Active RN license and BLS, ACLS, and ONS/ONCC certifications required
Minimum 1 year of PCU or oncology nursing experience
Chemotherapy administration experience strongly preferred
First-time travelers welcome with a genuine passion for patient care
Valid driver's license required at time of submission

Knowledge & Skills

Chemotherapy administration and oncology nursing best practices
Ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring (CVP, A-line, Swan-Ganz, EV-1000)
ICP monitoring and titration of insulin and cardizem drips
EPIC electronic medical record experience within the last 6 months
Strong teamwork, cultural sensitivity, and commitment to treating every patient with respect
