Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to PCU patients during overnight shifts
• Assess, monitor, and document patient status and changes promptly and accurately
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and treatments safely and in line with protocols
• Collaborate with physicians, unit staff, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care
• Respond rapidly to patient needs and emergent situations with clinical judgment
• Support patient and family education, discharge planning, and care transitions

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kentucky
• Experience working in Progressive Care Unit (PCU) or similar step-down/telemetry environment preferred
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• Comfortable working overnight scheduled shifts and cross-covering PCU responsibilities
• Strong clinical assessment, prioritization, and documentation skills

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in patient assessment and monitoring in a progressive care setting
• Experience with telemetry and managing acutely ill patients
• Skilled in IV medication administration and infusion management
• Effective communication and teamwork with multidisciplinary teams
• Accurate electronic medical record documentation and time management
