Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality neuro critical care to adult ICU patients
Perform thorough neuro assessments and intervene promptly based on patient condition
Collaborate closely with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to implement care plans
Manage complex critical care equipment and monitor hemodynamic and neurologic parameters
Document patient care accurately and communicate changes effectively during handoffs
Advocate for patients and families, offering education and emotional support during critical moments

Qualifications

Current RN license (must be valid in Louisiana or eligible for state licensure)
Clinical experience in Neuro ICU or critical care (experience level to be discussed during interview)
Current BLS and ACLS certifications (or willingness to obtain)
Strong assessment skills and comfort with complex neuro and hemodynamic monitoring
Excellent communication and teamwork skills; patient-centered mindset

Knowledge & Skills

Skilled in neuro critical care assessments and interventions
Familiarity with ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple critically ill patients
Proficient documentation practices and clinical judgment in fast-paced environments
Collaborative approach to working with interdisciplinary teams
