Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate Med/Surg nursing care to adult patients
• Perform thorough assessments and develop/implement individualized care plans
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and on time
• Monitor patient condition, recognize changes, and escalate appropriately
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans
• Document care and patient responses clearly in the medical record
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement and safety initiatives

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — NH license or eligibility preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced certifications (ACLS) a plus
• Previous Med/Surg nursing experience is preferred
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and prioritization skills
• Reliable, team-oriented, and able to work 12+ hour shifts as scheduled
• Good communication skills and comfort with electronic medical records

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid Med/Surg clinical knowledge and patient assessment skills
• Medication administration and IV therapy competency
• Familiarity with electronic charting and documentation best practices
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced acute-care setting
• Strong teamwork, communication, and patient education abilities
• Basic familiarity with hospital safety and infection control protocols
