Candidate Pay Rate: $47 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality Med/Surg nursing care to adult patients
Perform thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care
Monitor patient conditions and respond promptly to changes
Document patient care and progress clearly in the electronic medical record
Educate patients and families on condition, treatment and discharge plans
Advocate for patient needs and contribute to a positive healing environment

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure (Louisiana or compact status preferred)
BLS certification required; ACLS and other specialty certifications a plus
Prior Med/Surg nursing experience (demonstrated competence in adult medical-surgical care)
Current CPR certification
Ability to pass facility onboarding and any required background checks

Education

Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN/ASN or BSN); BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
Medication administration and IV therapy competence
Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) charting
Effective communication and teamwork in a fast-paced setting
Time management and prioritization for multiple patient assignments
Patient education and discharge planning abilities
