Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care to laboring patients with 1:1 ratios during active labor
• Monitor and titrate critical medications including Pitocin, Magnesium, and Procardia
• Deliver comprehensive postpartum and antepartum nursing care
• Support patients through post-surgical GYN procedures and high-risk pregnancies
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to maintain exceptional patient experience scores
• Educate and support breastfeeding mothers in our breastfeeding-friendly environment

Qualifications

• Active RN license with minimum 3 years of labor and delivery experience
• Current BLS and NRP certifications required
• Valid driver's license for radius verification at time of submittal
• Ability to pass open-book skills exam with 90% score during orientation
• Willingness to comply with artificial nail policy in patient care areas

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong understanding of labor and delivery, postpartum, and antepartum care
• Experience with titration of drips including Pitocin, Magnesium, and Procardia
• Knowledge of AWHONN staffing guidelines and obstetric best practices
• Comfort managing patients with hypertension or diabetes during pregnancy
• Excellent assessment and critical thinking skills for obstetric emergencies
