Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care following facility protocols
Perform thorough patient assessments and document findings in the chart
Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to create and update care plans
Monitor patients for changes in condition and escalate concerns promptly
Educate patients and families about care plans, medications and discharge instructions

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse license in New York (required)
Current BLS certification; ACLS or specialty certifications welcomed where applicable
Demonstrated clinical skills and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced setting
Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
Reliable, professional and able to work the assigned shift schedule

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Diploma in Nursing required; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Patient assessment and clinical decision-making
Medication administration and safe documentation practices
Electronic medical record (EMR) charting and accurate record keeping
Infection control and standard precautions
Effective teamwork, communication and patient education skills
