Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality critical care to adult ICU patients
• Monitor and interpret complex hemodynamic and ventilator data
• Administer medications and advanced interventions safely and accurately
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and multidisciplinary teams to drive patient-centered plans
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the patient chart and communicate changes in condition
• Participate in handoffs and unit-based safety practices to ensure continuity of care

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license — Alabama licensure required or compact RN eligible
• ICU clinical experience — demonstrated comfort with critical care patients
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
• Ability to work 12-hour day shifts and follow the posted schedule
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Critical care assessment and monitoring (hemodynamics, ventilator management)
• Familiarity with ICU equipment and advanced monitoring devices
• Medication administration and titration in critical care settings
• Effective interdisciplinary communication and team-based problem solving
• Accurate clinical documentation and charting practices
