Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based critical care nursing to adult ICU patients
• Assess, monitor and document patient condition using clinical judgment and established protocols
• Manage ventilators, invasive lines and complex hemodynamic monitoring as part of the ICU team
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists and multidisciplinary staff to develop and implement care plans
• Administer medications safely and monitor for therapeutic response and adverse events
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments and discharge plans with empathy and clarity
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement and patient safety initiatives

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) credential; ability to obtain/maintain state licensure as required
• Critical care experience in an ICU setting (demonstrated ability to manage complex patients)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) highly preferred
• Strong assessment, clinical decision-making and prioritization skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills in high-acuity environments

Education

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of critical care principles, ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring
• Skilled in IV medication administration and titration of vasoactive drips
• Familiarity with electronic health records and accurate clinical documentation
• Ability to triage and escalate care appropriately in urgent situations
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, rapidly changing clinical setting
