Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered critical care in the ICU, monitoring and responding to changes in patient condition
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Operate and troubleshoot critical care equipment such as ventilators and infusion pumps
• Administer medications and treatments safely, following protocols and documenting accurately
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and discharge planning
• Respond swiftly in emergency situations, using clinical judgment and established procedures
• Participate in shift handoffs and maintain clear, timely communication with team members

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license or active ability to obtain RN licensure in Hawaii
• Critical care experience preferred (ICU experience highly valued)
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS and PALS preferred
• Strong clinical assessment skills and ability to manage complex patient care
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
• Ability to work 12.5-hour shifts and adapt to unit staffing needs

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Critical care nursing principles and best practices
• Ventilator management and arterial line/central line monitoring
• Cardiac monitoring and hemodynamic assessment
• Medication administration and titration for critically ill patients
• Infection control practices and ICU safety protocols
• Electronic medical record documentation and clinical charting
