Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Rotating 12.5-hour Emergency Department shifts (exact start/end times and specific days to be confirmed with facility)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $59 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to Emergency Department patients
Perform rapid assessments and triage to prioritize care in a fast-paced environment
Administer medications, treatments, and interventions safely and accurately
Collaborate with physicians, ancillary staff, and families to coordinate patient care
Document patient status and care delivered clearly in the medical record
Advocate for patient needs and contribute to a positive, team-oriented ED culture

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required (ability to work in Hawaii required)
Emergency Department experience preferred and highly valued
Current BLS required; ACLS preferred or required by facility policy
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills in acute care settings
Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively on a multidisciplinary team

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Triage and rapid assessment in emergency situations
Cardiac monitoring, airway management, and basic emergency procedures
Prioritization and time management in a high-acuity environment
Patient/family education and effective communication under pressure
Familiarity with electronic medical records and accurate clinical documentation
