Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate emergency nursing care to patients in the ED
• Perform rapid assessments and triage to prioritize patient needs
• Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapy according to protocols
• Coordinate with physicians, techs, and support staff to streamline patient flow
• Document clinical findings and care activities accurately and timely
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and follow-up

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license in Alabama or compact state privileges
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS preferred
• Experience working in Emergency Department/ED or ER settings preferred
• Valid ID and ability to pass facility background and health screenings
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Emergency nursing fundamentals and triage principles
• IV therapy, medication administration, and basic procedures
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and accurate charting
• Calm under pressure with excellent communication and teamwork
• Ability to prioritize multiple patients and tasks in a fast-paced environment
