Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM and 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate intermediate care to cardiac and vascular patients
Monitor and titrate critical drips including Amio, nitro, nicardipine, epi, and cardizem
Interpret telemetry strips and respond promptly to cardiac changes
Support post-surgical CVICU patients during their first 24 hours of recovery
Collaborate with hospitalists, intensivists, and cardiology teams around the clock
Float to same-level and lower-acuity units as needed to support the broader care team

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum 1 year of experience with CVU or similar cardiac patient population
Comfortable titrating drips and interpreting telemetry independently
Valid driver's license for radius verification at submission

Knowledge & Skills

Telemetry interpretation and arrhythmia recognition
Titratable drip management for blood pressure and cardiac support
Post-cath, EP, structural heart, and thoracic patient care
BiPAP, CPAP, and nasal cannula oxygen management
Strong assessment skills for CHF, A-fib RVR, and CVA patients
