Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate individual and group psychotherapy to incarcerated patients
• Conduct thorough mental health assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
• Deliver crisis intervention and risk assessments when needed to maintain safety
• Collaborate with custody staff and the multidisciplinary team to coordinate care
• Document clinical encounters clearly and timely, meeting facility and legal standards
• Participate in orientation, staff trainings, and clinical case reviews to support continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Active California license as a Psychologist (PSY) OR Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW); Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) also accepted
• Ability to obtain and clear corrections-specific background checks and required facility clearances
• Comfort and experience working in correctional or forensic mental health settings preferred
• Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and risk management skills
• Professional, reliable, and able to work the specified Wed-Sat schedule

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in mental health assessment, diagnosis, and evidence-based psychotherapy
• Experience with crisis intervention and suicide risk assessment
• Excellent clinical documentation and case-management abilities
• Ability to collaborate effectively with custody staff and multidisciplinary teams
• Cultural sensitivity and trauma-informed care approach
