Pharmacist – UHC Staffing

Pharmacist

Location: Fort Worth, TX

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem (as-needed), 12:30 PM - 5:30 PM, Day shift (days vary / as needed)

Candidate Pay Rate: $57 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Dispense and verify medications accurately and efficiently to ensure patient safety
Review prescriptions for appropriateness, interactions, and dosing
Counsel patients and caregivers on medication use, side effects, and adherence
Collaborate with clinical staff to support safe, evidence-based medication therapy
Maintain precise documentation and follow facility policies and regulatory requirements
Provide reliable emergency coverage and professional continuity of care when staffing gaps occur

Qualifications

Registered Pharmacist (RPh) — must meet facility requirements
Active pharmacy license in Texas or eligibility to obtain one
Prior experience as a pharmacist preferred; per-diem/emergency coverage experience a plus
Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
Good communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with clinical staff

Knowledge & Skills

Thorough knowledge of medication safety, dosing, and drug interactions
Experience with prescription verification and pharmacy dispensing workflows
Familiarity with pharmacy software and electronic medical records (EMR) is helpful
Ability to triage pharmacy issues quickly and prioritize patient care
Strong documentation and regulatory compliance awareness
