Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, evidence-based critical care to ICU patients with compassion and precision
• Assess, monitor, and document patient status; respond quickly to changes in condition
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to create and implement care plans
• Administer medications and manage infusion/ventilator therapies safely and accurately
• Educate patients and families about conditions, interventions, and discharge planning
• Participate in unit quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and safety

Qualifications

• Current and active RN license for Louisiana
• ICU clinical experience preferred (prior critical care experience is a strong plus)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred or required depending on unit
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and prioritization skills
• Demonstrated ability to function in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Familiarity with ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring
• Proficient in IV medication administration and titration
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) documentation
• Ability to perform thorough patient assessments and interpret complex data
• Comfortable working within interdisciplinary teams and escalating concerns appropriately
• Strong time management and organizational skills
