Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care on a medical-surgical unit
- Assess and monitor patient condition; communicate changes promptly to the care team
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Document assessments, interventions and patient responses clearly and timely
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate discharge planning and patient needs
- Support patients and families with education and resources during their stay
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) credential
- Experience in Medical-Surgical nursing (Med/Surg)
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts as indicated in the posting
- Professional communication and teamwork skills
Knowledge & Skills
- Clinical assessment and patient monitoring in a Med/Surg setting
- Medication administration and documentation best practices
- Basic patient care procedures and safety protocols
- Effective communication with patients, families and interdisciplinary teams
