Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct patient care and support daily living activities
- Assist with bathing, dressing, eating, toileting and mobility with dignity and respect
- Monitor vital signs and report changes in patient condition to the nursing team
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care
- Help keep patient rooms and care areas clean, safe and comfortable
- Communicate effectively with patients, families and interdisciplinary team members
- Support safe patient transfers and use proper body mechanics to prevent injury
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification (CNA) required
- Valid state certification for Georgia or eligibility to obtain state certification
- Comfortable providing hands-on patient care and working as part of a team
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate bedside manner
- Willingness to complete facility onboarding and any required screenings
Education
- CNA certification required
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Basic patient care techniques and activities of daily living
- Vital signs measurement and patient observation
- Charting and documentation best practices
- Infection control and safety procedures
- Teamwork, time management and clear communication
