Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to residents and patients
- Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting)
- Help with safe transfers and mobility to maintain independence
- Monitor and document vital signs and report changes to the nursing team
- Support mealtimes, hydration, and feeding when needed
- Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful environment for residents
- Communicate clearly with residents, families, and clinical staff to support continuity of care
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant) — Pennsylvania certification preferred
- CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain
- Comfortable assisting with ADLs and performing safe patient transfers
- Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
- Willingness to complete facility onboarding, background check, and health screenings
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred; CNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Patient-centered care and dignity-focused support
- Basic charting and documentation skills
- Infection prevention and standard precautions
- Safe lifting and transfer techniques
- Ability to observe, report, and escalate clinical changes
