Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
Support safe transfers, mobility and positioning to promote comfort and prevent injury
Monitor and report changes in resident condition to nursing staff promptly
Maintain accurate, timely documentation of care and observations
Assist with meal service, feeding and basic nutritional support
Contribute to a clean, safe environment by following infection control and facility policies

Qualifications

Active CNA certification (state registry) — your primary credential for this role
Comfortable with direct patient care and hands-on assistance
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) preferred (or willing to obtain)
Pass background check, drug screen and required health screenings (TB, immunizations)
Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with nursing staff
Previous long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferred but new grads welcome

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred; completion of an approved CNA program required

Knowledge & Skills

Skilled in ADLs (bathing, dressing, toileting) and resident hygiene
Knowledge of safe patient handling and transfer techniques
Familiarity with infection control practices and PPE use
Strong observational skills for reporting changes in condition
Basic charting/documentation skills and attention to detail
Compassionate bedside manner and de-escalation skills when needed
