Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct resident care — assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Support safe mobility and transfers to keep residents comfortable and prevent falls
- Monitor and document resident conditions, reporting changes to nursing staff promptly
- Assist with meals and feeding, ensuring dietary needs and preferences are respected
- Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control protocols
- Build positive relationships with residents and families, delivering respectful, person-centered care
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification valid in Pennsylvania
- Current basic life support (BLS) preferred or willingness to obtain
- Up-to-date immunizations and TB screening as required by facility
- Ability to pass background check and required pre-employment screenings
- Reliable, caring attitude with strong communication and teamwork skills
- Previous experience in long-term care or similar settings is a plus
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Completion of an accredited CNA program and state certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of basic nursing assistant duties and resident care best practices
- Familiarity with infection prevention and safety procedures
- Comfortable with documentation and basic charting
- Ability to follow care plans and work collaboratively with nursing staff
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact compassionately with residents
