Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate direct resident care — assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
Support safe mobility and transfers to keep residents comfortable and prevent falls
Monitor and document resident conditions, reporting changes to nursing staff promptly
Assist with meals and feeding, ensuring dietary needs and preferences are respected
Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control protocols
Build positive relationships with residents and families, delivering respectful, person-centered care

Qualifications

Current CNA certification valid in Pennsylvania
Current basic life support (BLS) preferred or willingness to obtain
Up-to-date immunizations and TB screening as required by facility
Ability to pass background check and required pre-employment screenings
Reliable, caring attitude with strong communication and teamwork skills
Previous experience in long-term care or similar settings is a plus

Education

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Completion of an accredited CNA program and state certification

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of basic nursing assistant duties and resident care best practices
Familiarity with infection prevention and safety procedures
Comfortable with documentation and basic charting
Ability to follow care plans and work collaboratively with nursing staff
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact compassionately with residents
