Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on patient care in an acute care setting
Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, and mobility
Monitor and record vital signs and report changes to the nursing team
Support safe patient transfers and fall prevention measures
Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary staff to deliver coordinated care
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the patient record
Uphold infection control standards and facility policies to protect patients and staff

Qualifications

Current CNA certification (Hawaii certification preferred or eligibility to obtain)
Experience or comfort working in an acute care environment
CPR/BLS certification preferred
Strong communication skills and a compassionate bedside manner
Ability to work 12.5-hour shifts and function well as part of a fast-paced team

Education

High school diploma or equivalent
CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

Patient care fundamentals and ADL assistance
Vital signs monitoring and basic patient assessment
Infection control and safety procedures
Basic documentation and familiarity with electronic health records
Teamwork, time management, and reliable clinical observation
