Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate bedside care to patients, supporting dignity and comfort
• Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
• Monitor and document vital signs and report changes to the nursing team
• Support safe patient transfers and positioning while following facility protocols
• Keep accurate, timely documentation to ensure continuity of care
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and adhere to infection control practices
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to meet patient needs
• Respond promptly to patient calls and provide reassuring presence during the night

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Comfortable working overnight shifts and adapting to per-diem scheduling
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
• Ability to perform patient transfers and assist with mobility safely
• Committed to compassionate, patient-centered care

Education

• High school diploma or GED (required)
• Completion of an approved CNA training program (required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Basic clinical skills: taking vitals, assisting with ADLs, patient observation
• Knowledge of infection control and safe patient handling techniques
• Accurate documentation and attention to detail
• Effective communication with patients, families, and clinical staff
• Time management and the ability to prioritize patient needs during night shifts
