Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and triage patients rapidly and accurately in the emergency setting
• Deliver compassionate, evidence-based nursing care during high-acuity situations
• Coordinate with physicians, techs, and support staff to streamline patient flow
• Perform procedures such as IV insertion, wound care, and emergency interventions
• Document assessments and interventions clearly and timely in the patient record
• Advocate for patient safety and family-centered care under pressure

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina
• Minimum 2+ years of clinical nursing experience, preferably in Emergency Department
• Current BLS certification; ACLS and PALS recommended or preferred
• Strong clinical judgment, ability to prioritize, and excellent communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required or BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Triage and rapid patient assessment
• Cardiac monitoring and basic emergency procedures
• IV therapy, medication administration, and wound management
• Familiarity with electronic health records and timely documentation
• Team collaboration, patient advocacy, and crisis management
