Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, evidence-based medical/surgical and oncology nursing care to assigned patients
Administer treatments and therapies safely, including chemotherapy when certified
Assess patient status and deliver step-down care for those transitioning from higher acuity
Coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team to ensure smooth, patient-centered transitions
Maintain accurate documentation, complete skills checklists, and ensure timely Nursys license verification
Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and self-care with empathy and clarity

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse license (Nursys verification required)
Minimum 2 years of experience in the specialty (Med/Surg, Oncology, step-down or similar)
Chemotherapy certification preferred
Ability to provide Work History/Resume with no gaps greater than 60 days
Provide Skills Checklist, References, and Certification Card as part of application
Upload demographic info and a badge-appropriate photo for credentialing

Knowledge & Skills

Medical/Surgical nursing and bedside skills
Oncology care and chemotherapy safety (if certified)
Step-down care for patients requiring transitional monitoring
Care of patients with sickle cell disease and complex medical needs
Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and interdisciplinary communication
