Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, direct patient care consistent with LPN scope of practice
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Assess and monitor patients, reporting changes promptly to the care team
• Document patient care thoroughly in the electronic medical record
• Collaborate with RNs, providers, and support staff to coordinate care
• Support resident education and family communication with clarity and empathy
• Maintain infection control and safety standards to protect patients and staff

Qualifications

• Valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license (required)
• Ability to work the assigned Monday-Wednesday 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM shifts
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification (preferred or obtained upon hire)
• Local to Albuquerque or able to reliably commute (position noted as LOCAL ONLY)
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
• Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar setting is a plus

Education

• Graduate of an accredited LPN program or equivalent practical nursing education

Knowledge & Skills

• Clinical skills in medication administration and basic nursing procedures
• Competence with vital signs, wound care, and patient assessment
• Accurate and timely documentation in EMR systems
• Effective communication with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
• Time management and prioritization during extended shifts
