Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM NOC

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $42 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care during the overnight shift
Perform thorough assessments and document findings clearly in the chart
Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care
Respond promptly to patient needs and emergencies with calm, skilled action
Educate patients and families on care plans and discharge instructions
Support unit workflow by assisting with admissions, transfers, and discharges

Qualifications

Active RN or LPN license in the state of Maine (must be current)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS preferred where applicable
Prior acute care or long-term care experience preferred (1+ year recommended)
Strong clinical assessment, medication administration, and documentation skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities; dependable and professional

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Nursing Diploma required; BSN preferred for RNs
Practical Nursing diploma or equivalent for LPN candidates

Knowledge & Skills

Patient assessment and care planning
Medication administration and IV therapy fundamentals
Familiarity with electronic health records and accurate charting
Infection control, safety, and basic emergency response
Time management and prioritization during busy overnight shifts
