Location: Santa Fe, NM

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: PRN (days vary), 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM (Day)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $33 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-quality, compassionate direct patient care during 12-hour day shifts
Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
Perform thorough patient assessments and monitor changes in condition
Document patient status and care interventions clearly in the medical record
Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care
Educate patients and families on care plans, medications, and discharge instructions
Maintain patient safety and infection control standards at all times
Respond promptly and effectively to patient emergencies and urgent needs

Qualifications

Active RN license in the state of New Mexico (required)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS preferred
Current immunizations and required health screenings as per facility policy
Previous acute care or med-surg experience preferred
Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and effective communication skills
Ability to work PRN guarantee shifts and adapt to variable schedules

Education

Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN). BSN preferred.

Clinical assessment and patient monitoring

Electronic medical record (EMR) documentation
Patient and family education
Infection prevention and safety protocols
Prioritization and time management in a fast-paced environment
Teamwork and interdisciplinary collaboration
