Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide focused, high-quality labor and delivery nursing care for neonates and adults
• Circulate for cesarean sections in the OR, ensuring sterile technique and patient safety
• Manage patient care consistent with a 1:2 ratio on both days and nights
• Chart accurately and efficiently in Epic to support continuity of care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including respiratory therapy, PT, radiology, pharmacy and rapid response
• Support unit staffing and float between like units when required
• Participate in unit processes that support a high-volume delivery environment (facility prefers experience with ~200+ deliveries/month)

Qualifications

• Active California RN license (pending licenses not accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of relevant Labor & Delivery experience
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, AWHONN Advanced, LA City Fire Card
• Experience circulating for cesarean sections in the operating room
• Comfortable providing care to neonates and adult obstetric patients
• Proven ability to work with Epic charting system
• Willingness to float between like units and adapt to scheduling needs
• First-time travel clinicians are welcome

Knowledge & Skills

• Labor and Delivery management and clinical best practices
• Circulating for C-section and OR workflow
• Neonatal care fundamentals alongside adult obstetric care
• Proficiency with Epic electronic medical records
• Strong teamwork, communication, and rapid-response collaboration
• Ability to maintain safe patient ratios (1:2) under busy conditions
