Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist and support interventional radiology procedures with attention to sterile technique and patient safety
• Operate and maintain imaging equipment during procedures, ensuring quality imaging for clinical decision-making
• Prepare patients for procedures, monitor vitals, and provide compassionate patient care throughout the peri-procedural process
• Document procedures, assessments and care in Epic accurately and promptly
• Participate in weekend rotations and on-call coverage as scheduled to ensure continuous patient service
• Float within scope between like units as needed to support departmental needs
• Adhere to facility policies including infection control and vaccine requirements

Qualifications

• ARRT registration required
• Minimum 2 years of Interventional Radiology experience
• Experience charting in Epic preferred or demonstrated proficiency
• Must have active state licensure (pending licenses are not accepted)
• Willingness to work every-other-weekend and participate in on-call duties
• Able to float within scope to meet facility needs
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• First-time travel clinicians are welcome

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of interventional radiology procedures and sterile technique
• Proficiency operating fluoroscopy/IR imaging equipment and related instrumentation
• Comfortable monitoring and responding to patient physiologic changes
• Solid clinical documentation skills in Epic or similar electronic health records
• Ability to communicate clearly with multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced trauma/teaching hospital
• Adaptability to float between similar units and handle variable schedules
