Shift Type: 4x10 Day shift, 07:00 AM - 05:30 PM (Day). Schedule is 4x10 with days variable; minimum every-other-weekend required and includes on-call expectation (12 calls per 6-week period, includes one weekend). Must live within 30 minutes for stroke call.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care in the Interventional Radiology suite and adjacent units
• Perform and assist with scrub and circulate procedures for IR and cardiac cath lab cases
• Manage procedural sedation and monitor patients throughout procedures
• Respond rapidly for stroke call and provide acute stroke support per hospital protocols
• Chart accurately and efficiently in Epic to ensure continuity of care and compliance
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including radiology, respiratory, pharmacy and rapid response
• Manage ventilators and advanced monitoring when required for procedural or peri-procedural patients
• Float to nearby units or Providence Mission Laguna as needed to meet patient care demands

Qualifications

• Active RN license (pending licenses not accepted) — must be valid for the state of assignment
• Minimum 1 year of relevant nursing experience (Interventional Radiology / procedural experience preferred)
• Epic experience — EPIC EXPERIENCE REQUIRED (hard stop)
• Travel nursing experience required — NO first-time travelers (hard stop)
• Certifications required: ACLS, BCLS, NIH Stroke Scale
• Ability to be on-call and live within 30 minutes of the hospital for stroke call
• Willingness to float between like units and work scheduled weekend/on-call rotations

Knowledge & Skills

• Interventional Radiology procedures and scrub/ circulate competencies
• Cardiac cath lab and electrophysiology procedure familiarity
• Procedural sedation administration and monitoring skills
• Ventilator management and respiratory support knowledge
• Proficiency with Epic charting and documentation workflows
• Strong professional knowledge, critical thinking, and teamwork skills
