Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, resident-centered care by assisting with activities of daily living
- Monitor and report changes in resident condition to nursing staff promptly
- Perform routine tasks such as bathing, dressing, toileting, and ambulation with dignity and respect
- Take and record vital signs accurately and document care in the assigned system
- Support mealtime assistance and ensure residents' nutritional needs are met
- Follow infection control and safety procedures, including use of PPE and respirator protocols
- Participate in competency testing and training to maintain high standards of care
- Collaborate with teammates to create a warm, home-like environment for residents
Qualifications
- Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in good standing
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Ability to pass License/Certificate Verification and required background checks
- Fit test and Trinity Respirator Evaluation completion as required
- Up-to-date immunizations or documentation: MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tdap, COVID-19, Influenza
- 2 Step PPD or IGRA (Quantiferon/T-Spot) and Trinity 10 Panel Drug Screen
- Physical/Health Statement demonstrating ability to safely perform job duties
- Comfortable with per-diem/pool scheduling and flexible shift coverage
Education
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required
- High school diploma or GED preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate bedside manner
- Knowledge of ADLs, basic personal care techniques, and mobility assistance
- Understanding of infection prevention and proper use of PPE
- Accurate vital sign measurement and basic clinical observation skills
- Clear documentation practices and timely communication with nursing staff
- Ability to follow facility-specific competency protocols and testing requirements
- Teamwork mindset and adaptability in a fast-paced assisted living setting
