Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform and assist with interventional radiology procedures, providing hands-on support and ensuring procedural flow
• Administer and monitor moderate sedation across CT, MRI, ultrasound, and interventional suites, prioritizing patient safety
• Operate imaging equipment (CT, MRI, Ultrasound) and maintain procedure readiness
• Document interventions and patient data accurately in Meditech to support continuity of care
• Monitor patient vitals and recovery, escalating concerns promptly to the care team
• Maintain sterile technique and prepare procedural trays and devices
• Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and technologists to deliver coordinated, patient-centered care
• Participate in rotational call coverage to support emergent imaging needs

Qualifications

• Interventional Radiology experience required
• Neuro Interventional Radiology experience preferred
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of relevant imaging/procedural experience preferred
• Comfortable providing moderate sedation and monitoring patients across imaging modalities
• Familiarity with Meditech or similar documentation systems
• Strong teamwork, communication, and patient care focus

Education

• Graduate of a NLN accredited school of nursing

Knowledge & Skills

• Interventional Radiology and general Radiology procedures
• Moderate sedation techniques and patient monitoring
• Proficiency with CT, MRI, and Ultrasound equipment
• Electronic health record documentation (Meditech preferred)
• Sterile field maintenance and procedural setup
• Ability to triage and escalate clinical changes quickly
• Flexibility to float across imaging departments and cover on-call shifts
