Surgical Tech - CST

Location: Kearney, Nebraska

Start Date: 06-02-2026

End Date: 09-01-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM start, 8 or 10-hour shifts with one weeknight call until 7:00 AM next morning and three 24-hour weekend call shifts per month

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $50 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Scrub in on a variety of cases including orthopedics, urology, ENT, and neuro procedures
Independently perform cranial procedures with confidence and precision
Support total joint replacements and orthopedic trauma cases in a fast-paced Level II trauma environment
Collaborate with surgeons and anesthesia teams to ensure seamless patient care
Maintain strict adherence to sterile technique and patient safety protocols
Respond to 15-minute call requirements with reliability and professionalism

Qualifications

Current CST certification preferred but not required
BLS certification required
Strong experience in orthopedic trauma and total joint procedures
Proven ability to scrub independently on cranial cases
Comfortable working in an 11-suite OR with approximately 18 cases daily
Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment with a positive attitude

Knowledge & Skills

Expert scrubbing skills across multiple specialties
Familiarity with DaVinci robotics, Mako, Stealth, and Scopis systems
Strong understanding of neuro-trauma protocols and Level II trauma care
Ability to work independently while maintaining excellent communication
EPIC EMR experience is a plus
