Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality respiratory care across a diverse patient population
• Perform pulmonary function testing, stress testing, and EEG testing with accuracy
• Respond to respiratory emergencies and manage ventilatory support as needed
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other therapists to develop patient-centered plans
• Document assessments and interventions clearly and timely in the medical record (EPIC experience helpful)
• Educate patients and families on respiratory therapies, equipment, and home care plans
• Support neonatal and high-risk delivery teams when called upon

Qualifications

• Unrestricted Respiratory Therapist license in Colorado, or ability to obtain prior to start date
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification (NBRC) preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) — may be obtained upon hire
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) — Advanced Provider
• Minimum 2 years of well-rounded RT experience with a diverse patient population
• Experience with outpatient testing: Pulmonary Function Testing, Stress Testing, and EEG testing
• EPIC experience preferred; bilingual Spanish a plus
• Experience with high-risk deliveries and neonatal care preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong respiratory assessment and ventilator management skills
• Pulmonary function testing and stress test procedures
• Familiarity with EEG testing processes
• Proficiency in life support protocols (BLS/ACLS/PALS/NRP)
• Comfort working in both outpatient testing and acute care environments
• Effective interdisciplinary communication and patient education skills
• Charting experience in EPIC is a plus
