Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency nursing care for a fast-paced, 28-bed ER including trauma bays and monitored rooms
• Rapidly assess and triage patients, prioritize care, and initiate lifesaving interventions when needed
• Monitor cardiac telemetry and respond to changes in patient status with appropriate clinical actions
• Collaborate with physicians, techs, and multidisciplinary team members to coordinate efficient patient throughput
• Document assessments, treatments, and patient education clearly and timely to support continuity of care
• Maintain readiness of trauma bays and behavioral health rooms, ensuring safety and effective patient flow
• Support new team members during orientation and contribute to a positive, team-first culture

Qualifications

• Hawaii Registered Nurse license required by the start of assignment
• Experience in Emergency Room (ER) nursing or equivalent acute care experience
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, high turnover environment with trauma and behavioral health presentations
• Current basic life support skills and the ability to follow facility protocols (certifications as required by employer)

• Strong triage and emergency assessment skills
• Telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm recognition
• Trauma care knowledge and ability to function in high-acuity situations
• Effective communication and teamwork in multidisciplinary environments
• Time management, prioritization, and documentation accuracy under pressure
• De-escalation skills and safe management of behavioral health patients
