Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform thorough patient evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans that drive measurable progress
• Deliver skilled inpatient and outpatient physical therapy interventions across ortho, neuro, pediatrics and rehab populations
• Provide care for specialty populations including spinal cord injury, stroke, brain injury and sub-acute/vented patients when assigned
• Document care accurately and promptly in Cerner to ensure continuity and quality of care
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, OT, SLP and the interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes
• Participate in unit-specific orientation and ongoing training to maintain clinical excellence
• Support outpatient programs (ortho, sports medicine, lymphedema) or inpatient services based on assignment

Qualifications

• Current, active Physical Therapist license in California (or eligible to submit) required
• Minimum 2 years of clinical experience (required)
• BLS certification required
• Strong Cerner EMR documentation experience preferred
• Experience in inpatient and/or outpatient rehab settings, including ortho, neuro, pediatrics, or sub-acute care
• Comfort working rotating weekends and participating in holiday coverage
• Preferred: experience with lymphedema program, spinal cord/stroke/brain injury rehab, ICU or ventilator care

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in patient evaluation, therapeutic exercise and manual techniques
• Skilled in gait training, transfers and mobility assessment
• Knowledge of rehab protocols for spinal cord injury, stroke and traumatic brain injury
• Familiarity with orthopedic and sports medicine treatment plans
• Strong clinical documentation and time management skills
• Excellent communication and interdisciplinary teamwork abilities
