Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and triage patients rapidly in a 28-bed emergency department including trauma bays and behavioral health rooms
• Deliver high-quality emergency nursing care for medical, trauma and behavioral health cases
• Monitor cardiac patients continuously and respond to changes in condition
• Collaborate with the ED team and ancillary services to ensure timely patient throughput
• Perform and assist with emergency procedures and interventions as indicated
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate clearly with patients and families

Qualifications

• Current, active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Hawaii required by assignment start
• Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required
• Emergency Room nursing experience preferred; comfortable in fast-paced, high-turnover environments
• Procedural Sedation, TMCC and EMPC certifications preferred but not required
• Ability to work 12-hour day shifts and function effectively on a busy trauma-capable floor

• Emergency Room (ER) nursing expertise
• Trauma care and rapid assessment skills
• Cardiac monitoring and responding to cardiac events
• Experience managing behavioral health patients in the ED
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with high patient turnover
