Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered telemetry nursing care with attention to cardiac monitoring and early intervention
• Assess patients frequently, interpret telemetry strips, and escalate changes to the interdisciplinary team
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely following facility protocols
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses clearly in the electronic medical record
• Collaborate with physicians, techs, and other nurses to develop and execute effective care plans
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans in a clear, supportive way

Qualifications

• Active RN licensure in California (or compact RN eligible) required
• Clinical experience in telemetry or acute care settings preferred
• Current BLS required; ACLS preferred or willing to obtain
• Comfortable with cardiac monitoring, recognizing arrhythmias, and responding to alarms
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to pass background checks and meet facility onboarding requirements

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

• Telemetry monitoring and arrhythmia recognition

• Medication administration and IV therapy
• Electronic medical record (EMR) documentation
• Patient assessment, triage, and clinical decision-making
