Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform emergency department CT and X-ray examinations promptly and accurately to support rapid patient care
• Operate and troubleshoot imaging equipment (GE Optima 660 CT, GE Proteus x-ray) while following safety and quality protocols
• Document imaging procedures and patient information in Meditech thoroughly and professionally
• Collaborate with ED staff to prioritize studies and ensure smooth patient throughput during high-acuity periods
• Maintain radiation safety practices, accurate patient positioning, and image quality standards
• Provide compassionate patient care and clear communication to patients and families in the emergency setting
• Participate in unit-specific policies, follow dressing requirements (gray scrubs), and contribute to a positive team culture

Qualifications

• ARRT (R)(CT) certification required
• SCRQSA certification required
• BLS (Basic Life Support) required
• Minimum 2 years of experience in CT and general radiology (emergency department imaging preferred)
• Comfort working overnight/overnight rotations and independently in a free-standing emergency room setting
• Familiarity with Meditech or similar documentation systems

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong CT imaging skills and radiographic technique for ED studies
• Experience with GE Optima CT systems and GE x-ray equipment
• Proficient with Meditech electronic documentation
• Knowledge of radiation safety, patient positioning, and image optimization
• Ability to prioritize, multitask, and communicate effectively in a fast-paced emergency environment
